Welcome to Linda's Country Quilt Shop on line!
I hope hope everyone is enjoying the summer and still finding time to stitch. We are still taking names if you want to do the "The Seasons on Pomegranate Lane' from the Quilted Crow Girls with fabrics from Marcus Bros. This Block-of-the-Month (BOM) combines cotton piecing and wool applique for a gorgeous 76 inch square quilt top; class begins in October.
We are also still signing up for 'Threads of Time,' designed by Julie Hendricksen and it begins in November. This 72 inch by 88 inch project is beginner friendly with simple piecing techniques. You will do four, 8 inch blocks and 44 flying geese every month for nine months to complete your project. Let us know if we can add your name to the list.
Get our complete kit for 'All That Jazz' from Ann Lauer of Grizzly Gulch with Benartex Poppy Panache fabrics. The kit makes a bold and striking 87 inch by 107 inch quilt top.
Bunny Hill Designs have done some fun things with the 'Winter Wonderland' red and white collection from Moda. We have kitted "I Believe in Snowmen' and 'Christmas Wheels,' so get yours soon!
You can still join us to make some great small projects with the 'Here Comes Winter' book. See the class section if you think you might like to join us. And I am going to start a five-week Beginner class on Sept. 22, but the class will not run consecutive weeks.
Please think about donating that fabric you loved when you bought it, but can't imagine why now. There are two places posted in the store indicating where you can take your donations and information about what they use it for and what kinds of things they would like. It is a win/win situation when you tidy up and they use it for good causes! And, if you would like us to post your charity for donations, we would be happy to do so.
If you are a BOM member, join us for a meeting on the first Thursday morning each month at 9:00am or stop by during the month to pick up your kit. If you can't get in to pick it up, call so we can help you make other arrangements.
We are stripping! Join us the fourth Wednesday of each month for a new project or let us help you with one of our past projects. And if you don't want to strip with us, you can take home some of our 50 cent store-cut strips. It is all stripping fun and you can be part of it! See the class section for this month's quilt top.
And finally, we would like to let those of you who signed up for 'Bertie's Winter' know that we have a fabric delay and probably won't be starting that BOM until November.
Support your local quilt shop and happy stitching!
