Welcome to Linda's Country Quilt Shop on line!

Time is flying and Christmas is around the corner, so I'm sure everyone is busy getting ready for the holidays. We will not be doing a 'Girls' Night Out' in December due to the holidays. Please note our holiday hours: we will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1.

'Threads of Time,' our latest block-of-the-month (BOM) will begin in December, so if you have signed up for that one, don't forget to stop in and get your first kit. Don't forget that 'Bertie's Winter' began last month; if you haven't gotten your kit, you can pick it up any time. If you can't get in, let us know and we will hold it for you. If you are a BOM member, join us for a meeting on the first Thursday morning each month at 9:00 a.m., or stop by during the month to pick up your kit. If you can't get in to pick it up, give us a call and we will help you make other arrangements.

A lot of our Christmas fabrics are going to the sale room. If you still have a project for this year or want to collect something for next year, stop in and see what we have.

I have decided to send out a challenge for 2015 to all my quilting friends to motivate you to finish some of those UFOs lying around your sewing room. In January, I want you to bring in and register six unfinished projects. Registration will cost $10, and you have until the end of the year to complete your projects, including quilting and binding. If you finish all your projects, your registration fee will be refunded and you will be entered into a drawing for other prizes, so let's get busy!

Kim Kiehl's 'Simple Whatnots Club' is coming soon! We use Kim's fabric from Henry Glass Fabrics to make fast, fun, small projects. Check our next newsletter for more information.

Don't miss out on the 15th Anniversary Cabin Fever Shop Hop in February. You can see the beautiful funished quilt for the hop at the store. Passports purchased before the end of the year are entered into a special drawing. Remember part of our profit always goes to charity, so you can have fun for a good cause.

We won't be stripping this month, but will begin again in January on the fourth Wednesday, so watch for that in the next newsletter.

I'm still interested in getting a hand crank sewing machine club going, and I have mine in the store if you would like to check it out. I would like to get started in January of the new year, so please call and let me know if you would like to join me.

Happy quilting!
